About the artist

Jeanette Rognli-Lavring, the creative force behind our jewelry, was born in Kiruna, Sweden, but her roots run deep in Norway, with Norwegian, Finnish, and German heritage.

In 2017, she moved to Honningsvåg, Northcape, drawn to the freedom and nature she had loved as a child. She quickly fell in love with the region’s rugged nature and peaceful way of life, settling here with her three cats and fiancé.

Before becoming a jewelry artist, Jeanette had a diverse background. She worked in tourism and operated heavy machinery, including plowing roads to the Northcape with a truck during harsh winter months.

Jeanette’s true passion for jewelry making began in the long, dark winters of Northcape. Seeking a creative outlet during the polar night, she began experimenting with epoxy, wood, and eventually discovered the beauty of embedding real flowers into resin. This hobby quickly blossomed into a full-fledged creative pursuit, leading Jeanette to perfect her craft and share her creations with others.

In 2022, Jeanette opened her own studio in Honningsvåg, where visitors can now see her process up close and purchase her handmade jewelry. Through her work, Jeanette continues to celebrate the unique beauty of Northcape and share it with the world.
